The Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County (WDC) is hosting two virtual support sessions for applicants to support with high-level resourcing and with the opportunity to ask questions related to your current business needs and get connected to available resources.

There will be additional virtual training workshops offered in the coming months by the WDC with subject matter experts on various topics related to business. We will share those as they are released and registration opens if you are interested in attending those.

Below you will find a short list of local business resources who may offer services to support your current needs:

  • Digital Education Program – Free/Online: Spanish webinars designed to equip Latino and small business owners with practical topics such as how to do business with government entities, strategic use of artificial intelligence, sustainable email marketing, building online audiences, and digital content creation
  • Aprende y Avanza – Is a bilingual (EN/SP) education program for small Latino and Hispanic businesses to increase knowledge of Washington State Department of Labor & Industries regulations.
  • Small Business Resiliency Network – Washington State Department of Commerce – Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN) partners provide culturally and linguistically relevant assistance and other business support services at no cost to entrepreneurs, small businesses and nonprofits – with an emphasis on those owned by historically marginalized and underserved persons – throughout Washington.
  • Community Business Connector – Customized set of small business resources to help you achieve your goals here in the King County Area.
  • The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle’s entrepreneurship programming and services are designed to connect with small business owners, provide ongoing culturally relevant assistance to meet their operational needs, maintain a trusted community presence, and consistently provide opportunities for business growth & development.
  • Seattle Good Business Network – Resources and programs through their coalition of residents, local businesses, non-profits, and municipal organizations.
  • Business Impact NW – Provides coaching, classes, and access to capital to community small businesses, with an emphasis on working with traditionally underserved populations – those who face historical barriers in the financial and business sectors; services are open to all.
  • SCORE – Free and confidentialone-on-one business counseling by phone, email, and in-person. Free workshops and events.
