WMBC Leaders Meet with Seattle Deputy Mayor to Address Small Business Barriers

A meeting was held with the WMBC, represented by Marcos Wanless, President of SLMCC and TLCC, and Li Wei Tseng, President of the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce Seattle, along with Deputy Mayor Brian Surratt and Cheryl Delostrinos, Manager of Community Relations.

During the meeting, the coalition—represented on this occasion by Marcos Wanless and Li Wei Tseng—presented to the Deputy Mayor and the Office of Economic Development the current barriers that small businesses face in being hired as contractors.

The coalition also proposed the creation of an advisory group composed of coalition members to provide guidance to the Mayor on economic development strategies, with the goal of increasing small business participation in opportunities with the City of Seattle.
